Readers want to be inspired. It’s that simple. Statistics have shown the power of a story for marketing. Reflect on your favorite Super Bowl commercials. The few that come to my mind are the puppy finding his way home, or the farmer that God made. We love the stories, especially the ones we can relate to or that inspire us.

A Roadmap to a Great Story

  • Keep it simple, clear and concise. Don’t get to wordy.
  • Don’t try to appeal to everyone. Be you, make it personal.
  • Readers love a villain or drama.
  • A cause or character to cheer for is a must.
  • Write, edit, rewrite.
